Tested and Reviewed

Tester Christine Raymond enjoys what she calls “light gear to climb faster and wide skis to float the powder.” While she is not a big fan of spring skiing, she does get out there for that perfect powder day and wants her skis to perform well when that day comes.

Here is her review of the La Sportiva Vapor Nano:

OVERALL SCORE: 9/10
BEST FOR: Inbounds, Lift-Accessed Touring, Straight-Up Touring
BEST SPEED: Slow, Medium, Fast
RESPONSIVENESS: 8/10
SHORT TURNS: 8/10
MEDIUM TURNS: 9/10
TURN INITIATION: 9/10
CRUD PERFORMANCE: 9/10
POW PERFORMANCE: 9/10

Comments: “The differences between the La Sportiva Vapor Nano and Svelte were subtle. The Nano did better in the crud. The platform underfoot was an advantage. The Nano let go of a turn later than the Svelte, but still had a nice turning profile. It was an easy adjustment for me to make—both great skis. I skied them together (one on each foot) without issue.”
