Jeffersonville, VT Join the Backcountry BASECAMP tour at Smugglers’ Notch Resort tomorrow, Saturday Feb. 27, at the Brewster River Pub and Brewery for a huge party and even bigger raffle. The event kicks off at 4:00 after a day of AIARE demonstrations, uphill how-to clinics and airbag demos, all of which will be located at a yurt-based setting in the Smuggs’ Upper Parking Lot. Proceeds from the event will benefit Vermont Backcountry Alliance, IAN Fund and Cambridge Area Rotary’s Winter Wellness Days.
Once you’ve cashed in your prize, stick around the Brewster for Brett Hughes and the Honky Tonk Allstars, a Burlington-based, foot-stomping good time. Hughes has been hosting Honky Tonk Tuesday at Burlington’s Radio Bean music venue for over eight years, played in over 10 different bands and is ready to shake things up the Brewster. And after the afternoon’s Heady Topper Beacon Rodeo, where participants can search and “rescue” their own Heady Topper, we’re guessing Hughes won’t be the only one.
