In advance of their 10th-annual Backcountry Film Festival, Winter Wildlands Alliance is seeking film submissions showcasing the sweat, blower powder, smiles and summit high-fives that make the backcountry great. The festival, which hits more than 100 locations worldwide each year, raises money for local advocacy groups, snow safety, outdoor education and SnowSchool programs. It kicks off this November in Boise, Idaho.
If you’ve got a human-powered, backcountry-focused tale to tell, WWA wants to see it. Films should be no longer than 30 minutes and should tell a compelling, entertaining story about the winter and our place in it. “We’re open-minded about what kind of films we’ll show: documentaries, fiction and experimental films are welcome,” WWA says.
Send submissions, as a digital download or DVD, to Winter Wildlands Alliance, Attn: Shelley Pursell, 910 Main Street, Suite 235, Boise ID 83702 before September 15, 2014. To learn more, visit backcountryfilmfestival.com.
