Gregg has skied 100-plus days for the last 21 years and has tested skis for the past six. His home in the Wasatch Mountains offers powder, chutes and spring corn, all of which Gregg is down to hike for. His pick of the test? The Voilé V8.

Comments: “Best in Show! The V8 is the full package. They’re low weight and low cost. You can pick up this ski AND a set of Dynafits for less than the price of one day in the heli. It slices, it dices, it floats, it carves, it smears. Riding this ski transcends the union of powder and ski. It makes it magic. I challenge you to find a similar weight ski that is as reliable AND playful as the V8.”

What length was greg skiing on? I’m 6’3″ as well, and eyeing the 186….
Gregg tested the 186–we had that length and the 176 at the test this past winter.
i Live in steamboat springs, co and ski these skis on the regular. awesome ski that can handle anything you throw at it. paired with dynafit radical st bindings, i take these from skiing the mountain one day to climbing my favorite backcountry spot the next. would highly recommend these skis to the adventurer who is looking for a one ski quiver.
I live in Keene Valley ,Ny and have been Digging the 176 v8 on the Deep Days and the 170 vector on the rest. It’s mostly pretty tight here in the Dacks ( trees, trails, drainages, and Slides ) and both those skis just Respond so quickly . I’m 6’1 and 173 pounds and driving them with Scarpa t2 ecos and voile Switchbacks… Real happy with Those sticks ,man……well done Voile !………powder to the people!!
